Caesar

For the 23 years we've been married, the dogs have always been mine.  Along comes Caesar, and I'm thinking that he'll be an easy foster because there's no way we'd want to keep a chihuahua, and certainly no way my husband, the chihuahua hater would get attached to him.  I was wrong!   ("All the nice dogs we've had, and you want to keep a crazy chihuahua?")  As of 7/7/07, Caesar became an official member of the family, although I think he'd already made up his mind that he was staying long before that!  (You can read more about Caesar's history on the Foster Dogs page.)

Two sleepy boys whose mom just couldn't leave them alone when they looked so cute, napping together.

My friend, Barbara, calls this Caesar's Hoo Ra picture.  (Personally, I thought he looked a little like a hyena.  Maybe he watched The Lion King too many times.)
My friend, Shari, sent me a new baby card and a baby outfit for Caesar.  The shirt says, "King of the Castle."  We decided he was still playing Camo Dog when he tried to blend in with my DD's bathrobe.
Rosie visited us for a week, while her folks went away.  She had a ball with Caesar and Spike, and even though she had her own bed, she preferred to sleep with Caesar.

Caesar has a thin coat, so he's cold natured.  He loves to jump in the middle of the laundry when I pull it out of the dryer.  In this case, it was my daughter's sleeping bag that I'd left on the sofa.

I needed a model to show off these earrings, so Caesar volunteered.  (He did charge me two milkbones though!)

Who, me?
Caesar got to play the Wedding Singer in a Wedding/Fashion show that was part of a fundraiser for Pup and Cat Co.

He was a little miffed at not being chosen for the groom, but he stole the show when he sang Ava Maria for the crowd.

Since we are fans of 24, Caesar auditioned for a roll on the show!  He thought he needed a toupee to compete with all the young actors, but after he became a star, we found that not wearing his toupee in public really helped keep fans from recognizing him, and he is able to pass himself off as just another family pet.

Here's Caesar and Dad, checking out his week's performance.  It's a tough job keeping Jack Bauer out of trouble.

Caesar says, "I could replace Donald Trump on his show, too."

I thought the picture on this purse must have been what Caesar looked like as a puppy, so I gave hubby a really big hint of what I wanted for Mother's Day.  I do have to say that I've had a lot of fun with the purse.  It really makes people smile.

Happy Got'cha Day!
